How do we find peace in the middle of uncertainty

How do we find peace in the middle of an uncertain moment?

In the past I believe that I would have found myself feeling completely different feelings than what I’m feeling in the moment.

This week I found out that the plans that we have made with my partner about settling down in this beautiful country that we have both been living in already for years may not happen.

It may be that the uncertainty of our situation is really about nothing and things may work out as planned, or it may be that we will find ourselves living in a completely different part of the world soon.

What surprised me was these feelings of peace and calm that I was experiencing in this very uncertain moment of ours. After a half an hour of disbelief, these feelings of peace and calm surrounded me.

Sydney Banks used to say:

Faith is power, knowingly or unknowingly, manifesting itself directly from what we call God.

The more courage you get to look deeper, until some day the truth comes so much, that you absolutely give up the search and just live in the world of true love and true understanding, knowing that everything that happens will be absolutely perfect, and it will be.”
Sydney Banks

And I can wholeheartedly say that these words ring true to me today.

I used to not like the word faith. Because I always recognized the benefit of it, yet it was hard for me to find the feeling.

No matter how hard I tried I could not find faith when it came to something that I desperately wanted, yet found hard to get.

Later I learned to see how the more my understanding about the true nature of life deepened, the more I naturally began find myself in these feelings of faith and love.

Faith is not something that we can consciously create, it’s something that we can sink into.

It’s the more we let go of our feelings of anxiety, confusion, uncertainty and fear, the more we begin to naturally find ourselves having faith. And when we do the world that used to seem unchangeable to us changes.

We begin to find ourselves living in these feelings of true love and true understanding and we simply know that things will work out for the best.

We cannot explain how we know, but we do. The feeling of faith is stronger than our feelings of insecurity.

Why I today feel in peace with life even through these times of uncertainty when I don’t know what the future holds for us and where we’ll end up?

Because I’ve learned to see that everything that happens to me will always end up being for my highest good.

Whether I’m aware of it in the moment when it happens or not, it doesn’t really matter.

In the past in my situation I would have most likely found myself feeling more anxious, uncertain and insecure, but now I simply relax to the unknown.

This doesn’t mean that there will never be those times when I experience fear or anxiety. However it does mean that it’s easier for me to see through those feelings and let go of them quicker, so that I can have more time onenjoying life.

I’m open for new possibilities, I’m filled with this feeling of faith and I know that whatever happens will be absolutely perfect.

That’s the certainty that comes from allowing our understanding about life to deepen and living in these feelings of true love and true understanding.
