Do you see yourself as a victim of your circumstances or can you sense the freedom of seeing yourself as part of that creative force behind your experience?
Sometimes my partner tells me that I give him headaches. At times I answer him that I have no power on affecting the way he feels and other times I smile and allow him to have the experience he is having.
Life has become so much easier when I have learned to see where my experiences come from. I have learned to see that another person or my outside circumstances cannot make me feel the feelings of sadness I sometimes feel, nor the feelings of happiness I get to experience.
My experience is always coming from my perception of the situation and therefore I have also the ability to experience my life the way I choose to see it.
This doesn’t only create more freedom when it comes to experiencing my life, but also allows me to experience a kinder reality with more full of unconditional love, instead of seeing myself as a victim of my circumstances.
Change that comes from within
I remember a time when I was younger and I began to blame my parents for my circumstances. I can’t remember exactly what I was going through, but I was experiencing hard time and it looked to me like my insecurities were result of my parents way of being too protective when raising us up.
Later when I began to understand that my experience of life — every moment — was coming 100 percent from the way I saw life, I began to sense more freedom and the way I saw my situation changed.
Instead of concentrating on the things that I thought were wrong I began to see more of the amount of love and good-heartedness my parents had for us. I began to see the humanness in them and seeing them more as they truly were.
When my level of understanding where my experiences came from went up my experience changed, I began to see what was more true and I began to see my parents as one of the most loving and generous people I know.
The freedom we have to choose
We have always the power to choose the way we want to see our outside circumstances, and becoming more aware of where our experiences come from allows us to become aware of this choice.
When my level of understanding deepened the way I saw my relationships changed. There was nothing I needed to do, yet the change occurred.
The experience we have of other people is always coming 100 percent from within us and the way we experience outside world depends on our level of understanding in the moment.
When we are in a low mood, feeling stressed and experiencing our negative emotions we see the outside world and others through a negative lens created by our thinking. On the other hand when our thinking settles down and our level of consciousness goes up we become more free to see the world objectively — The calmer the mind we have, the more clearly we are able to see.
When we begin to get a sense of how this is true, we begin to see more how the way we see outside world and other people always changes depending on our ability to see clearly in the moment.
We begin to naturally make less meaning of things when we are in a low mood and our level of understanding is low, which allows us more easily bounce back to the natural state of our being — which is wellbeing — when we choose to.
Feelings as an indicator of our level of understanding
The less we choose to engage with our negative emotions the more we are able to get a sense of that greater sense of wellbeing and potential we all have within us.
We begin to see more how our feelings are not here to tell us what is going on outside of us, but they are an indicator giving us information of our own internal state.
We begin to see how whenever we experience the heaviness of our negative emotions our level of understanding is low and we cannot trust our thinking. On the other hand whenever we feel calm and relaxed we can see that our stressful thinking is not clouding the way we see our world anymore, and we can see more clearly again.
We become more free to see how from the core of our being we are always well, no matter what is going on outside of us and the feelings we are experiencing.
Our feelings are the ultimate indicator allowing us to get a sense of the level of understanding we have in the moment, instead of giving us information about our outside circumstances. Understanding this creates more freedom for us to come from that place of wellbeing and potential within us and see how we are part of that creative force behind life.
Thought that creates our experiences
Like I mentioned before our experiences are always coming from within — From our own perception and the way we see our reality.
They are created with the power of our thinking. We are gifted with this gift of Thought, like Sydney Banks used to say, that allows us to navigate through life.
Behind every negative emotion is a negative thought — whether we are aware of that thought or not — and behind every positive emotion is a positive thought.
Our feelings are coming directly from our thinking — Whatever we think we will feel.
The more we understand the power of Thought when it comes to creating our experiences the more free we become to see our own role of being part that creative force behind life and the freedom we have to choose how we want to navigate through the life we are gifted to experience.
Choosing to see a kinder world
Many times when we face hard times we believe that our situation needs to change in order for us to be able to feel happy again. However learning to see how our experiences are always coming from within us and created by the power of Thought allows us to see something different.
We begin to see more how simply opening ourselves up for a deeper understanding can change our perception of the situation from judgement to the experience of unconditional love.
We all have the power to experience a kinder, loving and more caring reality regardless of our outside circumstances.
When we begin to see that our experiences are always created from within, the role of thought and our own level of consciousness plays when it comes to creating our experiences, we begin to see more what is true.
We begin to see more how we have the freedom to choose whether to live in the reality we are experiencing in the moment or question it, and wait until our thinking settles down so that we can experience a kinder reality that is more true.
Our thinking creates our reality and because the nature of our thinking is that it’s always changing, also the way we experience life changes.
We are gifted with this gift of Thought to navigate through life and the way we use this gift determines the quality of our experiences.
We all have the freedom to choose whether we want to see every situation as being a victim of our circumstances or awaken to see the ultimate power we have to choose again.
